There is nothing more precious than two babies or three walking around exploring everything they can. There are some things however that can wait. Like the stairs. There's a level of comfort you get when your kids can't get to the stairs. Gates give you some comfort. When you are purchasing a gate, you want to be sure that there are no sharp edges. The slats are top to bottom discouraging climbers. If you have pets... these are must haves to keep your pets in another room. The gate shown here is the one I used while my twins were little. We moved to a bigger house when the twins were born and the gate came with us! Unfortunately the hardware didn't fit the same as the other house. We ordered an extension. The manufacturer has a site whereby you can order additional latch parts. The service was superior. The gate was appealing to the eye and was easy to use one handed. Easy to wipe clean too! Here are some photos of my children using this gate. We even attached a small basketball hoop to it for the boys to play with when they were two and a half years old.

Little Mark at Gate
Great Tip..... You'll notice the white piping insulation on top of the gate to the left in this photo. This is great padding for little ones. You can buy it at most hardware stores. It comes in different sizes. It is already sliced with an opening in the center. Great for sliding over a gate! Later on, if you are in a cold climate area - this piping insulation is superb for placing on your outdoor faucets so they don't freeze in the winter. Inexpensive too!
